"Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still." - Dorthea Lange

my littlest one and me

My goal every time I pick up my camera is to attempt to hold life still. From the simple, everyday moments to the more special occasions, I hope to capture memories so they can be savored and treasured for much longer than they actually exist. I am part-hoarder, after all.

My photography journey began in the darkroom many years ago during college. Film photography, which I still pick it up from time-to-time, will always hold a special place in my heart! I took a short break from my photography, but after our first daughter was born, I felt inspired once again to make pictures. I have been documenting our little family ever since.

Beyond shooting, I also enjoy throwing and running. I am a novice potter working my way towards creating the perfect mug. (Despite the fact that my collection appears to be complete according to my husband.) Also, I like to run the occasional race (albeit very slowly) and after my family - three little girls, one pit bull-pansy of a dog and uber-supportive husband. We live on a little farmette in Maryland with our Highland cattle, goats, geese, chickens and barn cats.
